Terms of Use
Last updated: 24 May 2026
PageMate is provided as-is, free of charge for the Free tier. Pro features (when launched) are sold via Dodo Payments under their refund / dispute policy. You agree to these terms by installing or using the extension.
1. What you get
The Free tier of PageMate is licensed to you for personal and commercial use at no cost. You can install it on as many devices as you like. You don't owe anyone an account, payment, or attribution.
The Pro tier (when available) adds the features listed on the pricing section. Pro access is tied to your license key, delivered by email after purchase.
2. What you're responsible for
- The screenshots you capture and what you do with them. PageMate auto-redacts known sensitive patterns, but no automatic system is perfect. Always review captures before sharing them publicly.
- Complying with the terms of the sites you capture.
- Keeping your Pro license key private. Sharing it publicly is grounds for revocation.
3. What we don't promise
Per standard open-source disclaimer: PageMate is provided without warranty of any kind. We can't guarantee:
- that every sensitive pattern on every page will be detected (false negatives are possible);
- that detected patterns are always real sensitive data (false positives are possible);
- that the extension will be compatible with every site, every Chrome version, every OS, in perpetuity.
You assume responsibility for verifying that your captures are safe to share. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us — which, in the Free tier, is zero.
4. Refunds (Pro tier)
Pro purchases are processed by Dodo Payments. Their standard refund window applies (typically 14 days from purchase, no questions asked, for the monthly subscription). For the lifetime tier, refunds are available within 30 days if you can demonstrate the product doesn't work for your use case.
Email hello@maheshupreti.com.np with your purchase reference if you need a refund.
5. License keys
Each Pro license is for one user across reasonable device counts (typically 3). Activating the same key on dozens of devices is a violation and can result in revocation.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use PageMate to capture or share content that is illegal in your jurisdiction, to harass others, to violate a site's terms, or to circumvent paywalls.
7. Open-source license
The source code is published on GitHub. The repository's license terms govern reuse of the code itself — these Terms of Use govern use of the hosted Pro tier and our distribution channels.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be highlighted on the Chrome Web Store listing and on this page. Continued use of PageMate indicates acceptance.
9. Governing law & contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Disputes are resolved at the courts of Kathmandu, unless your local jurisdiction grants you stronger protection.
