Everything you need for safe, fast screenshots

Capture any region, element, scroll-stitched full page, or the whole screen. Auto-redact sensitive info before you share. Annotate, crop, export — all in your browser, all free.

Drag-to-select region

Pixel-perfect region capture with a dim overlay and live dimensions. Alt+Shift+Y opens it from anywhere.

Hover-pick any element

Dev-tools-style picker outlines the element under your cursor. Arrow keys walk parent / child. Click to capture.

Full-page scroll-stitch

Captures the whole scrolling page with overlap-blend stitching, lazy-load pre-warm, and sticky-element hiding. No yellow Chrome debug banner.

Choose Window or Screen

Use Chrome's native source picker to grab any monitor, application window, or browser tab — even outside Chrome.

Capture all tabs at once

Stitch the visible part of every tab in your window into one tall image with labelled separators. Perfect for research notes.

25+ sensitive-data detectors

Emails, phones, credit cards (Luhn), JWT, IBAN, API keys, SSN, EIN, passport, DL, DOB, Aadhaar, NHS, SIN, VIN, MRN, NPI, DEA.

Powerful annotation editor

Blackbox / pixelate / blur in rect, rounded, ellipse, or circle. Arrows, lines, text in 10 fonts, numbered steps, highlight, crop in any shape, insert any image.

Multi-format export

PNG / JPG / WebP / PDF. Filenames include the source domain so your Downloads folder stays searchable.

Per-domain whitelist

Skip auto-redact on sites you trust (your docs, dev environments, dummy-data demos). Granular per-detector toggles too.

Local history gallery

Last 10 captures saved to local IndexedDB. Re-open any in the editor. Never leaves your device. (Pro: unlimited.)

Zero network, zero account

Free tier makes zero outbound network calls. Works offline. No analytics, no telemetry, no sign-up.

Open source

Full source on GitHub. Anyone can read every line. No tracking pixels can hide in a public repo.

Pricing

Free forever. Pro coming soon.

Every detector and every capture mode above stays free. Pro adds heavy-lift workflows — AI face blur, OCR redaction, multi-page PDF, bulk operations, unlimited history.

Like PageMate? Buy me a momo. Or a coffee.

I'm an indie developer from Nepal 🇳🇵. PageMate is fully free + open source. If it saves you the embarrassment of leaking an email or an API key in a screenshot, consider tossing a few rupees / dollars / euros my way — it keeps the lights on while I build the Pro tier.

FAQ

Questions you'd reasonably have

Does PageMate send my screenshots anywhere?
No. The Free tier makes zero outbound network calls. Your captures, your annotations, and the page text we scan all stay in your browser. You can verify this in DevTools → Network tab. The only network call PageMate ever makes is when a Pro user activates a license key — and that only sends the key, never your data.
Why does Chrome say "Read and change all your data on all websites"?
That's Chrome's generic wording for the host-permission every screenshot tool, password manager, ad blocker, and translator extension needs. It lets PageMate read visible page text to find sensitive patterns before they end up in your screenshot. Full audit in our privacy policy.
What kinds of data does it auto-redact?
Emails, phone numbers (Nepal + international), credit cards (Luhn-validated), JWT, IBAN, API keys (sk_/pk_/AKIA/ghp_/OpenAI/high-entropy), Bearer tokens, password values, IP addresses, US SSN, US EIN/Tax ID, US passport, driver's license, DOB (label-anchored), Aadhaar (Verhoeff), NHS Number (mod-11), Canadian SIN, VIN, Medical Record Number, NPI, DEA, Nepali citizenship + PAN, plus domain profiles for WhatsApp chat list and payment-card input fields.
Does it work on Gmail / Google Docs / Slack?
Gmail message bodies — yes, the scanner walks into same-origin iframes. Slack threads — yes. Google Docs — captures work, but Docs renders text directly to a canvas element so the DOM scanner can't see it. That's exactly the use case OCR-based redaction in the Pro tier is designed for.
What happens if I uninstall?
Chrome deletes the IndexedDB database (your capture history) and all extension storage. There's nothing on a server to clean up — there's no server.
Do I need an account?
Free tier: never. Pro tier: just a license key emailed to you on purchase. No account, no password.
Is the source code public?
Yes — the full source is on GitHub. You can read every line. A privacy claim you can't audit isn't a claim.
